1st Feb 10am Monday Community Matters Radio Show on PBA FM 89.7 – Singing up a storm!

Grab a coffee and have a listen at 10am Monday morning. 89.7 on FM dial. Profiled this week is the Pooraka Farm Community Centre.

This weeks show is hosted by Heather Hewitt, Coordinator of Pooraka Farm Community Centre and produced by Robert Deijnum from Twelve25 Salisbury Youth Enterprise Centre.

The show features an interview with Laura Cramm who is a volunteer and a facilitator of the singing group that runs from Pooraka Farm Community Centre. If you can hold a tune and want to join this fun singing group give the centre a call on 82625544.

March – Fabric Dyeing Workshop using patterns and colours of a traditional Japanese style

April 10th – Noon to Midnight LAN Party – Online gaming and fun for young people 14 – 25 years. Cost $7 includes prizes and Pizza!.

May 16th – Multicultural Fashion Parade at Pooraka Community Hall including $4 community lunch.

First Show for 2010 : Youth and Australia Day

The 'Community Matters' radio show, produced by the Youth and Neighbourhood Services Division, is back for 2010 each Monday Morning at 10am on PBA FM 89.7.

On this todays show (Monday) , the weekly host is Kate Walker from Twelve25 Salisbury Youth Enterprise Centre and she talks about some of the youth centres programs, highlights and discusses the Australia Day Community Event hosted by Rotary tommorrow and interviews a volunteer Carina Foerster.

Carina talks about what she gets out of volunteering and the types of roles she undertakes.

So have a coffee at 10 and tune in for 30 minutes to get up to date on whats happening across the community centres supported by City of Salisbury.
